Use caution when it comes to how heavy you lift because certain exercises are not good for lifting heavy. Exercising your neck, doing split squats, and doing dips can all compromise your joints and put you in jeopardy of getting seriously injured. Instead, use heavier weights primarily for exercises such as rows, presses, deadlifts and squats. Try improved techniques for bicep curls. You only get half the benefit you could get from a normal bicep curl, as you likely don't move the bar beyond the parallel point during the "up" part of the exercise.
